内容简介

　　Zhang Kangjian (1939.10.30) , the board chairman of the Du-zhong Research Association,Chinese Society of Forestry and the professor of the Northwest A&F University, has been engaged in the research of Du-zhong for over 30 years and has chaired some the national projects like "948" roject which was initiated in august of 1994, with the aim to introduce the foreign advanced technologies, and key problem research projects. For years, he has developed series of Du-zhong products, and claimed six invention patents. His researches on Du-zhong, especially on its natural active ingredients, is systematic and all-arounded. This has inevitably made him one of the gurus among the scientists who devote their efforts in the field. He has selectively bred some internationally new advanced varieties of Du-zhong, Qing zhong No.l, No.2, No.3 and No.4. Nine books on Du-zhong have been published. Among these are "The Secondary Metabolites of Chinese Du-zhong", published in 2002 by Science and Technology Press; "Du-zhong: The Chinese Magic Tree" and "Du-zhong:Development and Utilization of Pharmaceutical Plant Resources", "The Secondary Metabolites of Pharmaceutical Plant", etc. In 1989, he was awarded by Shaanxi province the title of Outstanding Teacher of Shaanxi. In 1992, he was awarded the title of "The Young and Middle Aged Experts with Outstanding Contribution" and enjoyed the Special Subsidy for Prestigious Experts granted by the State Council. In 1992, he received the "Advanced Worker in National Forestry Extension" award given out by the state forestry ministry.
