Unparalleled in scale, these migrations caused Hongtong people to spread all over the country. And the big Chinese scholartree in Hongtong has thereafter become a cohesive tie bringing millions and millions of descendants of Hongtong people together, no matter wherethey are.Now, the descendants of then emigratorscan never think of Hongtong withoutaffectionately referring to the big Chinesescholartree, the Guangsheng Temple and thefamous Su San jail.
