INTRODUCTION
So you have a pocket calculator， you use it in your work，
&round the house， when you go shopping and you still find
it fascinating to push the buttons and juggle about with
numbers ? Then here are some puzzles to test your ingenuity
and to provide you with an excuse for pushing those buttons
many more times l
The puzzles that follow naturally involve a little mathe-
matics， but much of this is fairly simple and the hints explain
the mathematics where necessary. There are easy puzzles，
some a little more difficult and finally one or two .harder
ones just to test you ! All the puzzles may be solved using a
simple four-function calculator.
It\" you are in difficulties， refer to the Hints and Answers，
where methods are explained and hints given. Also if you
have to look up a hint and feel that you would like to try
another puzzle of a similar type， you will find after the
answer a reference to similar problems in the book.
