| 作者简介: Thomas E. Ricks is the Washington Post's senior Pentagon correspon-dent. Until the end of 1999 he had covered the US military for the Wall Street Journal, where he was a reporter for seventeen years. He has reported on US military activities in Somalia, Haiti, Korea, Bosnia,Kosovo, Macedonia, Kuwait, Turkey, Afghanistan and Iraq. This book is based on his reporting in Washington and Iraq and on a steady stream of e-mails to and from soldiers at all levels serving in the field. Thomas E. Ricks has been a member of two teams that won Pulitzer Prizes for national reporting. He has lived in Afghanistan and Hong Kong and is the author of Making the Corps and A Soldier's Duty. |
