| JEFFREY ROBINSON is Assistant Professor of Management at Rutgers Business School, New Jersey, USA, where he leads the school's urban entrepreneurship research and economic development initiatives. Prior to joining Rutgers, he was on the faculty of NYU's Stern School of Business. He is the recipient of a 2007 Faculty Pioneer award from the Aspen Institute for his path-breaking research, teaching and service activities at the intersection of business and society. JOHANNA MAIR is Associate Professor of Strategic Management at IESE, the Business School of the University of Navarra in Barcelona, Spain. She teaches strategy and social entrepreneurship in the MBA program, executive programs and the PhD program at IESE. Her current research lies at the intersection of traditional strategy and entrepreneurship. She has received numerous awards for her research and publications. In 2007 she was recognized as a 'Faculty Pioneer' by the Aspen Institute and received the 'Ashoka Award for Social Entrepreneurship Education. In addition she has received the 2007 Strategic Management Society Best Paper for Practice Implications Award. KAI HOCKERTS is Associate Professor at the Copenhagen Business School (CBS), Denmark, where he teaches, among other things, a class on "Social Entrepreneurship - Transforming the Non-profit Sector". He has also written a number of case studies including the award winning "Mobility CarSharing - From Ecopreneurial Start-up to Commercial Venture" as well as "Trading up CafeDirect - From Charity Spin-off to Business Success". Kai Hockerts is a co-convener of the International Social Entrepreneurship Research Conference (ISERC) series held in Barcelona in 2005, in New York in 2006, and in Copenhagen in 2007. He holds a Ph.D. from the University of St. Gallen (CH). |
