EU Innovation Policies and Regional Economic Development

Between 1994 and 1998 Adrian Healy worked for ECOTEC Research and Consulting Ltd, rising to the position of Director. In this position he was responsible for managing the company's operations in Brussels for some 3 years, whilst managing ECOTEC's Division specializing in Innovation Policy and leading much of the company's European policy activities. In late 2008 Adrian left his senior management role at ECOTEC Research and Consulting in order to pursue wider interests. He is currently working as an independent consultant. In 2009 Adrian completed doctoral research at the University of Cardiff examining the role of EU R&D instruments in regional economic development in UK regions.
