STEFANO COSMA, Ph.D. in Business Administration, is an Associate Professor in Banking and Finance at the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia, Italy. His principal research areas are consumer credit and retail lending. ELISABETTA GUALANDRI is a Full Professor in Banking and Finance at the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia. She was appointed as an auditor of Banca d'Italia in 2007. She has co-edited two books for Palgrave, on SME financing and the consolidation of the EU banking system.
