This issue of The Harvard Architecture Review began with a desire to understand better the architect's ways of perceiving and acting upon the world. The discussions and articles included here make up a chronicle of our ongoing inquiry into the processes and possibilities of architecture's distinct form of knowledge. They also constitute a proposal for how this understanding of architecture might form the basis for a new type of journalistic practice.
