计的原则还必须体现较高的过滤效率和较长的使用寿命之间的平衡。
Our design of an oil filter is based on the premise that the filter is present to remove
harmful particles and thus protect the engine from wear. To measure this property single
pass efficiency or multipass tests are the best tools. The total design, however, must
balance high efficiency with long life.
单次或多次通过率指标的提升可以有效减少引擎
磨损。相对于一个过滤能力只针对40微米颗粒的
滤清器,可过滤30微米颗粒的滤清器可减少引擎
磨损高达50%。同样的,一个15微米过滤效果的
滤清器可减少引擎磨损达70%。
“Abrasive engine wear can be substantially reduced with an increase in
filter SPE(MP). Compared to a 40 micron filter, engine wear was
reduced by 50% with 30 micron filtration.” (98% point) “Likewise, wear
