　　It is a great pleasure to welcome all participants of the Second International Conferenceon Computational Methods for Thermal Problems （THERMACOMP2011） to Dalian.Computational and mathematical methods have had a profound impact on theunderstanding and advancement of engineering science and technology over the last fewdecades. The conference aims to convene a diverse scientific audience ofmathematicians, physicists, engineers and computational scientists that have acommunal interest in modelling thermal problems.
