This work surveys four centuries of American domestic furniture styles. It is aimed at curators, collectors, appraisers, connoisseurs of furniture, and students of history, architecture and the arts - as well as those just learning the stylistic trends in furniture. Styles are arranged chronologically from 1607 to the present.
