From School Library Journal
Kindergarten-Grade 3–A boy
ends up minding his younger brother when their grandmother falls
asleep on the couch. While he is running the show, Will gives
readers lessons on what a sitter should never do. According to him,
lesson number one is: don't forget about your charge. The havoc
wreaked by one preschooler is humorously exaggerated. The bright
and colorful illustrations and the wonderful facial expressions
will make readers laugh even without reading the text. It is a bit
unrealistic that the grandmother never wakes up to realize what is
going on with all the noise the brothers are making, but the story
is all in good fun and not to be taken too seriously. Overall, this
is an accessible choice for newly independent chapter book
readers.–Lisa S. Schindler, Children's Librarian, Bethpage
