《纪念亨德尔逝世200周年特辑》The greatest opera Handel NEVER wrote……Un'Opera Immaginaria is an album assembled from Handel's own music by French musicologist Ivan A. Alexandre, offering a new take on the formula perfected by the composer. Far more than a compilation album, it selects individual numbers from 11 operas and two oratorios by Handel, and reassembles them in a sequence that respects the potent formula elaborated in the composer's 38 works for the operatic stage. The work has no explicit story and no concrete characters——it is an imaginary opera formed of passion and music.

The singers include such eminent Handelians as Joyce DiDonato, Philippe Jaroussky, Natalie Dessay, David Daniels, Ian Bostridge, Stephanie Blythe, and more! These immense talents, along with the carefully-selected and arranged arias, combine to form a stirring, creative, unique tribute to the great composer during his Anniversary year!
