Boreout!: Overcoming Workplace Demotivation

Philippe Rothlin and Peter Werder estimate that 15 per cent of office staff are on the way to "boreout" - chronic boredom and demotivation in the workplace. They're underchallenged, uninterested, and spend hours each day simulating work. These employees have given up and become resigned to their situation, suffering what is effectively the opposite of office burnout. Boreout lowers morale, productivity, and profits.
