Last Voyage of Jean F Anderson

Lured by the mystique of John Masefield's sea poetry, Charles Turnbull spent the summer of 1941 as a sailor aboard the three-masted schooner Jean F. Anderson on a passage from Nova Scotia to Jacksonville, Florida. Although he found that sea life soon lost its romantic aura, Turnbull learned to appreciate his shipmates and the narrow but ever-changing confines of the sailor's world.
