It ranges through the great variety of guns, flints, powder, shot, dress for the shooter, varieties of dogs (including their diseases and recipes for medical treatment), game preservation (including trespassing and poaching), stanchion and punt gunning, shooting while under sail, wildfowl artillery, description of important game birds, wildfowl shooting in France, and advice for hunter's health and safety. This book belongs on the shelf, no, in the hands of anyone interested in hunting, especially of waterfowl as it was practiced in England during the 1800's and to a degree in North America as well.--Henry M.
