曹鸿昭，1908年生于河南新野。南开大学英文系毕业，曾执教于南开大学、西南联大，重庆中央大学。1946年获美国哥伦比亚大学文学硕士，主修英国文学。1947－1969年任联合国中文翻译处高级翻译员，退休后旅居美国。
