编辑推荐From AudioFileIf you loved "The Goon Show," a wacky British series of the '50's and '60's, you'll love this autobiography of one of its creative spirits--Spike Milligan. Sometimes, with some people, this type of British wit travels well over the Atlantic. The author, as narrator, gets as much enjoyment out of his words as the listener. His voice is gruff but not hard to listen to. He knows his subject, and since he thinks he's funny, so will the reader. Not all of the book is humorous (wars never are), but it's an interesting tale. The production is well done. This is one for real Anglophiles. E.F. (c)AudioFile, Portland, Maine --This text refers to the Audio Cassette edition. |
