Inventing George Washington: America's Founder, in Myth and Memory

Edward G. Lengel, an associate editor of The Papers of George Washington and a professor at the University of Virginia, is the author of General George Washington: A Military Life, which the Washington Post Book World called "satisfying and thought-provoking" and which was a finalist for the George Washington Book Prize. He lives with his family in Charlottesville, Virginia.
