Fortunately, international preservation movements have become more and more influential in protective and restorative measures, resulting in a slow but steady recuperation of African wildlife.

All over the continent, an incredibly wide range of animals, from the outright bizarre to the lushy paradisiac, adorns the countryside. Menacing crocodiles in Kenya, graceful gazelles in the South. The famous flamingos of Lake Victoria or the stately ostriches in the Cape area. Herds of massive buffalos, peacefully grazing zebras, necking giraffes or a couple of embracing leopards - these are images of an African Mother Nature that should never be allowed to be erased from the earth.
