
| Frank Zollner studied Art History and German Literature from 1977 to 1981. Foil.owing a schotarship at the Aby Warburg Institute in London from 1983 to 1985, he gained his doctorate from the University of Hamburg in 1987 with a thesis on the Proportional. Figure of Vitruvius. From 1988 to 1992 he was a research assistant at the Bibl.iotheca Hertziana in Rome and in 1995 he gained his postdoctoral. habil.itation from the University of Marburg with a study of Expression and Movement in the Work of Leonardo daVinci Since 1996 he has been Professor of Art History at the University of Leipzig. Professor Frank Zollner has publ.ished widel.y on the art of the Renaissance [Botticelli, Leonardo, Michelangel.o etc.] and Classical. Modernism [Paul. Kl.ee]. An earl.ier study of Botticel.l.i by Frank Zollner was publ.ished by Prestel. in the Pegasus Series in 1998. |
