| 1989 saw the release of the blockbuster Universal Studios move, Field of Dreams, based on W. P. Kinsella s novel Shoeless Joe. Here is a unique new book of poetry written by Kinsella and his wife, Ann Knight, that reverberates with the same sense of vitality, warmth and magic. Some of these are love poems, some wild flights of the imagination. These are poems to be shared. Included are Ann s "Roadsongs" about the cross-continent author tour for Shoeless Joe and Bill s own whimsical version of "Casey at the Bat." Ann Knight is a non-fiction writer and poet, author of two previous books. W. P. Kinsella is the author of 15 books of fiction and winner of the Stephen Leacock Medal for Humour. Bill and Ann met in a writing class at the University of Iowa in 1976 and were married in 1978. They live in White Rock, B.C. where they write fulltime. |
