| The year 1988 will be remembered as the year the earth spoke back.With floods, droughts, hurricanes, earthquakes, and fires ragingthroughout the United States and the world, and in our own backyardmedical waste and sewage washing up on our shores and ruining the sum-mer for many--we have been forced to look into the mirror and ask:what s going on? Old ways die hard, it seems, and for us all; we are witnessing thedeath of our old ways. Resisting has only made us suffer, and we see andexperience so much suffering as we hold on to old habits and forms thatjust don t work for us anymore. The world as we ve known it is rapidlychanging, and what beauty and joy we can look forward to! Until now, we have believed in a world of separation and division--and this has been the world we perceived and created: a world of fearand hatred, of jealousy and suspicion, of isolation and protectionism.And out of these have sprung wars, crime, racism, sexism, hunger, home-lessness, and so on. Brother against brother, "us" against "them": a win-lose situation. We are entering a season where Unity and Love is the new paradigmon the planet. A very ancient understanding is emerging, so ancient thatit goes back to Creation. And that understanding is: there is no andnever has been a separation. No matter how much we elose our eyes andsleep, dream and believe in this separation and all that comes from it -the Reality remains the same. We cannot change, alter nor destroy thatwhich is forever and ever. We are now awakening from the big sleep, like being reborn. Some-times it is so very hard to distinguish what is Real from what is illusion.But it s all right. This is our healing. The only thing that heals is theunification of our souls with God and each other. Through Love, thisUnity, mutual respect and support is emerging. We are all beginning tohear the same song. It s all about Love. There is hope and there is nothing to fear. Weneed to force nothing, just listen. Follow your heart. All else will shift inconsequence. |
