This book is dedicated to the blessed memory of
mv parents£¬Otto and Frieda Michel£¬who were
kilied in Auschwitz in August£¬1 942£®
My life¡¯S greatest regret is that they died
without knowing that their two children£¬my sister
Lotte and I£®would SUrvive the Holocaust£®Between
uS we have seven children and nineteen grandchil¡ª
dren£®sixteen of them in Israel£®
This book iS also dedicated to my children£¬
Lauren Shachar£®Joel Michel and Karen Daniels£¬
and to my six grandchildren£¬Noga£¬Yair£¬Rachel£¬
Nesia£¬Gil and Evan£®I hope and pray that they and
their descendants shall remember my miraculous
survival as proof of the strength and continuity of
our people£®
