The accompanying story told how over half of a sixth-grade class, questioned on the outcome of another world war, said, \"It would blow up the entire earth.\" This class consisted of six Americans, nine Mexicans, two Britishers, and one student each from Switzerland, France, Peru, Korea, India, and Brazil. Even very young children worry about nuclear war. Likewise, many adults worry when they realize that before long many small nations with potentially trigger-fingered fanatic govern- ments will also possess such weapons. Nations stagger from one crisis to another. One quarter of the world is at war. Approximately 10,000 people a week die of starvation. Millions are without sufficient daily food, without shelter, without medical care, and without liberty. Some experts predict that non-renewable resources will be exhausted within a century.
