It doesn t take a very careful inspection of the Holy Scripture to see that the Lord Jesus Christ spent a very large part of His time healing the sick. God s People today are gradually coming to realize that Jesus hasn t stopped healing, but that it is His intent that His People continue the ministry of heal- ing, by the power of the Holy Spirit. The very word used in the New Testament for \"salvation\" is equally well translated \"healing\"; health and holiness are closely related words, and closely related ideas. God desires to save and to heal spirits, souls, mad bodies. Anne S. White has done a careful, readable, and inspiring Work in presenting the meaning of healing through Christ in her book \"Healing Adventure\". I have personally appreciated her approach to the subject, and have enjoyed getting to know her as a friend, and having opportunity to observe her ministry. She is keenly aware that healing not only includes the physical body, but also the soul-the intellect, emotions, and will. Most important, she realizes that healing must either proceed from, or lead to, the renewing of the spirit, that perfect healing of the inward man which is the new birth, salvation through Jesus Christ. It is good to note, though that while Mrs. White has a deep interest in the psychological aspects of Spiritual healing, she does not slip into the jargon of the psychologist, but sticks closely to the language and concepts of Holy Scripture, and of historic Christian thought.
