1 N T R O D U C T I O N A nyone who would attempt to write his life story faces a .L ]ktask much more difficult than 1 ever would have imag- ibed. The obvious question is of course \"What do I put in?,\" be- cause it s impossible to \"ten it all.\" So, therefore, ! have elected to let Mama and Daddy have the \"last word.\" (See Afterword.) I have attempted to tell the portions of my story that I believe illustrate most clearly how God has taken the raw material of my life and shaped it into something I pray is useful for His glory. It s true that I was blessed to be born one of the children of Billy and Ruth Graham. Being their child has without question bmusht to me a unique set of opportunities and challenges. 1 consider my father a man whom God has used in a remarkable and unique way to advance the gospel. My relationship with him is spex- lal, and I welcome the opportunity to share some of my unique m~ences and insights on my f~er--and my mother too. But what is important about my story is important about evctylv2rson s story: God has a plan for each of His children, and ilc,w~l~rltlg that,plan to successful completion. That makes every person.very special--whether or not you happened to be born afamous family. $0, Iv/ill do my best in the pages that follow to tell not just my story but how God has been involved in every part of my journey, even when I wanted to keep Him as far away from me as possible.
