The newspapers delight in jumping all over every health scare that comes down the pipeline. Their reporters may not understand the issue very well, but that never seems to stop them from writing. The television news shows can be even worse. At least once a week, along about 10:00 KM., you can expect a 30-second teaser that goes something like \"NEW CANCER SCM~,E, IN YOUR FOOD SUPPLY! IS YOUR FAMILY AT RISK? MORE AT 11,\" Anyone who pays much attention to that sort of thing can t be blamed for saying something like \"Everything is bad for you. I m not even going to try to stay healthy, because something or other is going to get me anyway.\" And in fact, I hear one version or another of that state- ment far too often these days.
