| In their previous collection, called Women Look at Biology Looking atWomen, Professor Hubbard and-her colleagues questioned the validityof traditional descriptions of women s biology. In this new, revisedcollection, the authors go even further. They assert the politicalcontent of a good deal of what is ordinarily thought of as women sbiology--political in motivation, because it is useful for those in powerto have "scientific evidence" that the limitations on women seconomic and social roles are grounded in biology; political alsobecause these very limitations affect women s biology. |
