Darrow slowed butcouldn t halt the revision he hadbegun on this second edition of theDartnell Public Relations Handbook.Darrow and coauthor Dan J.Forrestal had both agreed that thegrowth and changes in publicrelations practices required whatamounted to a complete revision ofthis book they had coauthoredalong with Aubrey (~ookman in 1967.When illness made the writing choretoo difficult, Darrow called on hisclose friend and business associate,Edward J. Doherty, senior vicepresident of Hill and Knowlton, Inc.,to work with him. Doherty took up themantle, and following Dick Darrow sdeath, became totally involved inthe writing effoff. |
