Something is stalking the Northumberland moors. No one is sure exactly what it is, but something is slaughtering sheep and other livestock. There have been sightings of a "big cat," a huge, eral creature that has so far managed to elude capture. Some of the locals are terrified, while others scoff that it's only a legend. Still, the killings continue.

STEPHEN LAWS, Stephen Laws lives and works in Newcastle upon Tyne, in northeast England. Married, with three children, he has written ten supernatural thrillers to date, including: Gideon, winner of the Count Dracula Society's Children of the Night Award, and the epic award-nominated Chasm.
Stephen Laws's novels have been published in America, Canada, Germany, France, Spain, Japan, Norway, Denmark, the Netherlands, and Italy. Laws also lectures on horror to various institutions, has developed and delivered a series of creative writing courses in schools throughout Newcastle upon Tyne in collaboration with the city's Education Department as a peripatetic writer-in-residence, and is regular host and guest interviewer at the Manchester Festival of Fantastic Films.
