Prologue
This book is a story of a nation that came apart at the
seams-and got back together again.* It s a thundering
story of kings and prophets and wars and spies and ambush
and trickery-of bravery and cowardice-of shining hones-
ty and outrageous mischief-and a few things more.
But it s really a story about people. They lived at dif-
ferent times and in different places， but they all had one
thing in common.
They came face to face with something God wanted them
to do. And they had to choose whether or not to do it. Some
of them chose to do it and some of them ran in the other di-
rection. And so each one plotted his own story by the choice
he made.
Jonah was one of them and the name of that chapter is
\"Which Way to Nineveh?\" Which is another way of saying，
%Vhich way is God s will for my life?\"
It s a good question. And you can plot the story of your
life by the way you answer it.
