| l AM NO authority when it comes to money matters. Because this is true 1 have needed to seek help from those who are. While I may not know much about the subject of finances, I am a fairlygood judge of character traits like integrity, authenticity, spiritual sensi-tivity, biblical awareness, and genuine humility. When someone pos-sesses these qualities in addition to professional competence in thesometimes complicated world of finance, I sit up and take notice...which explains why Ron Blue and I have cultivated such a close friend-ship. For quite some time I have admired his convictions, sought his coun-sel, listened to his advice, and put his principles to the test. 1 have yet toregret one moment of that process. He is a rare find in this day of rapid-fire, hit-from-the-hip high-rollers who talk the language but fail to pat-tern their lives according to scriptural standards. This is what Iappreciate most about Ron--he models his message. Quietly, graciously, thoroughly, the man represents what he presents. Because he keeps it sosimple, even I can understand it! And that, my friend, is a minor miracle. Over a year ago I suggested to Ron that he dedicate himself to pub-lishing his material. It seemed a shame that such resourceful and helpfulinformation be available to so few. I am delighted he took up the chal-lenge and disciplined himself to putting his valuable knowledge andtechniques into print. His book addr4sses numerous subjects that are of interest to all of us:developing a biblical philosophy of personal finances, taking advantageof inflationary times, getting (and staying) out of debt, establishing finan-cial goals, achieving financial independence, overcoming consumptivespending, exposing many tax-planning myths, and cultivating the joy ofgenerous giving as God designed for His people--to name only a few. Iespecially appreciate the practical, easy-to-understand approach Ron |
