    Sten Odenwald, an award-winning astronomer with Raytheon ITSS, is currently the education and public outreach manager for the NASA IMAGE satellite program. A frequent contributor to the Washington Post, he is the author of The Astronomy Café, The 23rd Cycle, and Patterns in the Void, and numerous articles for Sky and Telescope and Astronomy magazines. He lives in Kensington, Maryland.
