
| Kenny Mann has long had an interest in ancient civilizations and foreign cultures. She was born and raised in Kenya and lived for a number of years in Germany. She was a journalist and documentary film-maker before turning her talents to teaching and writing books. She is the author of African Kingdoms of the Past, a series of books for children about the history and cultures of Africa. She has also written I Am Not Afraid--a Masai Folktale and Yellow Dog Dreami~ng, a collec-tion of short stories. Today Kenny teaches creative nonfiction to young people ranging from fifth graders to college students. She lives in the quiet eastern Long Island town of Sag Harbor with her daughter, Sophie. |
