| From Library Journal This is an important and very accessible study of four controversial moral issues: animal rights, the right to die, abortion, and nonmarital sexual expression. The study is distinguished by the broad perspective in which he places each of the issues, considering not only individuals but also societies and drawing enlightening analogies between other departures from biblical injunctions and newer issues. Whether or not one agrees with Cobb's distinctions, his reasoning can lead to better understanding of many ramifications. Highly recommended.Copyright 1991 Reed Business Information, Inc. |
