We Dance?
We re adults. We ve got all the credentials and
scars to show for it. There s a birth certificate in our
drawer that says we re old enough to vote or drink at a
bar. Maybe in the same drawer is a diploma and pos-
sibly the kind of degree that marks us as professionals.
There is probably a marriage license and the birth cer-
tiiicato of our kids. There might even be a divorce de-
cree or two. There have been lots of experiences chalked
up to experience. There are lines around our eyes that
weren t there last year. It s all there. The stuff of lifo
