| Cheryl Hamilton, a native of Illinois, received her bachelor's degree from Eastern Illinois University, the master's degree from Purdue University in West Layfette, Indiana, and her doctoral degree from the University of North Texas in Denton, Texas. Dr. Hamilton has written COMMUNICATING FOR RESULTS: A GUIDE FOR BUSINESS AND THE PROFESSIONS ESSENTIALS OF PUBLIC SPEAKINGthe second edition new in 2003. She has conducted a number of research studiesone published in the Community College Journal of Research and Practice. She has presented over 32 papers at professional conventions such as the National Communication Association, the Southwest Educational Research Association, Western Communication Association, and the Texas Speech Communication Association.
