    This new single-volume edition combines two volumes of a masterful collection of problems on the theory of functions, prepared by Konrad Knopp, a mathematician of international renown. It is designed for use in conjunction with Knopp's Theory of Functions,Parts I and II, but may be used with any other elementary text on the theory of functions.
    Vol. I contains more than 300 elementary problems dealing with fundamental concepts, infinite sequences and series, functions of a complex variable, integral theorems, expansion in series, and confor-mal mapping.
    Vol. II contains additional problems for Part I of Knopp's Theory of Functions, as well as over 230 problems in advanced theory. Topics include singularities,entire and meromorphic functions, periodic functions, analytic continuation, multiple-valued functions and Riemann surfaces, and more advanced concepts in conformal mapping.
    In both volumes,problems are arranged according to increasing diffi-culty,with difficult problems starred.Hints for solution are given when necessary,while full,rigorous solutions are provided for all problems.
