Enjoying Combat Sports has two main sections unarmed combat, and armed. These are divided in turn into sports that originated in the western world, and those that started in the East but are now popular in the West as well. The origins and main features of each sport are described, to- gether with its official rules, and in each case there are also ideas for simple training technique~ and a glossary of special terms used. These often complex sports are explained throughout by a special combination of illustra- tion and clear, precise text. The editors and illustrators hope that this will make combat sports easier for the reader to understand and enjoy.
