Joan Lunden and Michael Krauss are a dedicated couple-
dedicated to all families. Joan s visibility on Good Morning
America has enabled her to become a symbol of mother-
hood in the public eye. At a time when the women s
movement was recognizing women s working roles but

ful woman in both areas. She became my hero as I
watched her on television with her daughters and as I
