| In the fall of 1982 a small group of Varsity Outdoor Club members dicided to compile a ski touring guidebook for the Southern British Columbia Coast Range. All the trips lie off Highway 99 and its extensions north of Vancouver. Most are day or weekend trips, and all have been visited at least once by the authors. The routes are no intended to be definitive nor the descriptions exhaustive. The selection includes a wid variety of pleasant ski tours from short beginner s trips to advanced tours of the ice-caps. Finally, an easy to use, informative guide for the cross-country skier who would like to exchange the well-worn groomed trails for the freedom of the mountains. This guide covers 43 ski-touring trips in Whistler, Garibaldi Park, Squamish, and Pemberton areas in Britsh Columbia. |
