We have attempted to make this book as easy to use as possible£¬
given the varying needs of entrepreneurs and the varying services per£®
formed by different sources£®
To assist entrepreneurs in quickly identifying sources near to them
geographically£¬we have within the index at the end of the book sources
within every state£®ß¶mS£¬readers can quickly determine the pages on
which we describe sources for each of the fifty states£®
To accommodate the frequently different needs and concerns of en£®
trepreneurs just starting or acquiring businesses for the first time£¬and
those operating well-established businesses£¬we have divided several chap£®
ters into two sections---one for start¡ªup businesses and one for existing
businesses£®Not all the chapters break down that neatly£®but even when
they don¡¯t£¬we indicate within the chapters how start-up and existing
businesses can best use the sources described£® Ò» Ò»
Finany£¬to handle the problem of sources being appropriate to more
than one chapter£¬we made heavy use of cross£®references and assembled a
thorough index£®These approaches solve£¬at least partiaHy£¬dilemmas such
as deciding whether to include an organization for black women entre¡ª
preneurs m the chapter on sources for women or the chapter on sources
for minorities£®Nonetheless£¬we recommend that entrepreneurs whose cir¡ª
cumstances or situation are appropriate to sources in several chapters ex£®
