| In Shaker Heights, Ohio, nine years old Nicky has lived for the past year and a half with his single Aunt Andie Evans ever since his parents died. Andie loves her nephew, but cannot get him to rebound from his deep grief. At the same time that she feels as if she is failing in her personal life, her toy store has been a big success. However, with the holidays coming up, Andie receives notice to report for jury duty. Even though the timing is bad, an excited Andie looks forward to performing her patriotic duty. |
